  • Why: Introduction
    • Remove references to the Whitepaper, as the Library is now available and serves as the primary reference.
  • Why: Understanding the Catena-X Data Space
    • Updated the arrow from Association → Tractus-X from “Governance” to “sponsors, promotes, and coordinates”.
      The image previously indicated that the Association governs Tractus-X, but it should correctly state that it sponsors, promotes, and coordinates Tractus-X.
  • How: Life Cycle Management
    • Removed the term 'breaking change' from the operating model. The term was previously used in the lifecycle section to indicate when incompatible changes were allowed (only in major releases). However, as the operating model follows the 1+1 principle—where old and new versions must coexist—no change should actually break the dataspace. The documentation has been updated to clarify this intention and remove the misleading term.
    • Add Name Versioning for Catena-X ecosystem releases.
    • Remove the dates from release schedule to make it generic.
  • Who: Roles in the Catena-X ecosystem
    • Update the roles defined in the Operating Model to be consistent with the standard terminology used in specifications, applying the values MUST, SHOULD, MAY to indicate requirements and recommendations
    • Additionally, create a reference table that clearly defines the meaning of each term (MUST, SHOULD, MAY) and how they apply to roles.
    • Add the missing label to the arrow from Sandbox Provider → Association to ensure all relationship arrows are consistently and fully labeled, enhancing the clarity and overall coherence of the graphic

    • The Service Map has been updated with the corresponding services to reflect the current state. In addition, the relevant standards have been assigned to each service.

  • Outlook
    • Updated the chapter "Further Integration of SSI Technologies". The chapter now shifts focus from technical decentralization of issuers and trust anchors towards a broader SSI concept. It highlights the transition from CSP-provided wallets to a modular bring-your-own-wallet approach, enables all entities to issue, present, and verify credentials regardless of their role, and places stronger emphasis on interoperability across dataspaces and alignment with overarching standards.
  • Removed references to the deprecated CX-0008 standard.
